Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Accused of Copyright Infringement

April 29, 2021

--

As reported by the Baltimore Business Journal, a photographer has accused Baltimore Ravens quarterback, Lamar Jackson, of copyright infringement.

The lawsuit filed in federal court in Florida reportedly alleges that Jackson posted photographs of himself in action to social media without authorization. It also reportedly alleges that the photographs formed the basis of a trademark used by Jackson on merchandise.

The photographs were taken by Richard H. Barnes Jr., a professional sports photographer, at a September 2016 college football game, when Jackson was quarterback for the University of Louisville.
