Honda Files Trademark Registration for 1960s Classic, ST 125

February 19, 2021

--

As reported by Car and Bike, Honda has filed a trademark application for the Honda ST 125, indicating Honda may use the ST 125 name for vehicles and accessories.

The ST mini-bike series was first introduced in the 1960s to both the Japanese and European markets. The bike was marketed as the Trailsport in the US. At the time the series consisted of ST 50, 70, and 90 models. The new ST series will likely use the same 125 cc engine that is used for the Honda MSX 125 Grom and the Super Cub 125.

Filings indicate that Honda has also applied to trademark the Trailsport name, suggesting it may target both the European and US markets.
