BrewDog’s Tiger Strike trademark registration denied

August 13, 2021

--

As reported by Proactive, the UK Intellectual Property Office has denied BrewDog’s request to register the trademark “Tiger Strike” for a range of spirits, including gin and vodka.

The history and evolution of BrewDog, which was founded in 2007, is detailed on its website. This history includes brewing the UK's strongest ever beer in 2008.

The Scottish brewer was in a legal dispute with The Shropshire Gin Company, which is based in England near the Welsh border. The Shropshire Gin Company, which was founded in 2018, makes Tiger Gin and Tiger Vodka. Its history is also detailed on its website.
