Drone Delivery Canada Lands First U.S. Patent

September 12, 2019

--

Vaughan-based Drone Delivery Canada (“DDC”) has been granted its first U.S. patent.

According to Chief Technology Officer Paul Di Benedetto, the patent “provides strong protection for [DDC’s] flight management system.” It also protects DDC’s ‘Railway in the Sky’ concept, which is designed to simplify routing and control of delivery drones in densely packed urban areas.

DDC intends to seek patent protection for other aspects of its technology both in the U.S. and abroad.
