As recently reported by Motor Illustrated, a trademark filing by Ford Motor Company hints at an innovative new door.
Ford’s filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office sought to trademark “EZ Air” and the application lists “land motor vehicle doors” as the goods and services category. If the “EZ Air” name is to be used, Ford’s exact use of the trademark remains unknown.
Commentators have suggested that the “EZ Air” doors may be intended for Ford’s 2021 Bronco. Ford has promised consumers over 200 aftermarket parts and accessories available for the 2021 Bronco and the “EZ Air” door may be one of these products.
Car enthusiasts will need to remain patient as to the meaning of “EZ Air” as production of the 2021 Bronco does not begin until the spring.
