Four New Patents Join EA’s Accessibility Pledge

Electronic Arts (“EA”) continues to break down barriers, adding four more patents to its accessibility Patent Pledge.


In 2021, EA introduced a Patent Pledge with the aim of fostering a more accessible and inclusive gaming environment. Through their pledge, EA will not enforce a specific list of patents against an infringing party. All of the listed patents are focused on enhancing accessibility in video games, particularly for players with vision, speaking or cognitive conditions.


EA has continually added patents to their pledge since 2021. The four new patents, which were added in December 2023, bring EA’s total number of patents under its accessibility pledge to 15. The new patents added include:
