Pi Network Obtains US Trademark Registration

Pi Network is a blockchain project that reportedly aims to make mining accessible to users. The platform launched on March 14, 2019 (Pi Day) and most recently concluded its PiFest, a commerce-focused event showcasing Pi payments being adopted by local merchants. The event reportedly saw participation from over 130 countries and sought to boost the practical utility of the Pi Network’s cryptocurrency.

The Pi Network reportedly recently registered its trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”). The Pi Network logo, which unsurprisingly features the pi symbol, has reportedly gained recognition within the cryptocurrency community.

The news of its official registration with the USPTO grants the platform exclusive use of the logo and the ability to take legal action against unauthorized use.
