Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to trademark “Sussex Royal”

February 11, 2020

--

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have filed a trademark application in the United Kingdom for their new foundation, Sussex Royal.

The application covers an extensive list of goods and services, including clothing, footwear, printed materials, campaigns, educational activities, and social care.

At the time of writing, Harry and Meghan, had not filed an application for “Sussex Royal” in the United States, where an application has already been filed by an intellectual property lawyer in Los Angeles. A similar application has been filed in Canada by two Montrealers who plan to use the name for their latest gin.

Since the time of writing, an announcement has been made that Harry and Meghan have decided to step back from royal life (with a subsequent arrangement also being announced).
