Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson and Chinese smartphone maker TCL have reportedly settled disputes regarding smartphone patents in California and Texas.
The California proceedings related to allegations by TCL that Ericsson refused to license its wireless patents on fair terms whereas the Texas proceedings related to allegations by Ericsson that TCL infringed patents related to network security technology.
Ericsson had been awarded multi-million dollar rulings in the proceedings that were later overturned by the Federal Circuit.
