The Goodmans IP Team, and specifically Andrew Brodkin and Jordan Scopa, are proud to have represented GEMAK Trust (“GEMAK”) in its successful appeal from a decision (2020 FC 644) granting summary judgment to Jempak Corporation and Jempak GK Inc. (“Jempak”) on the basis of non-infringement of two patents owned by GEMAK.
GEMAK’s patent infringement action against Jempak has now been ordered to proceed to trial.
The Federal Court of Appeal’s reasons for judgment currently remain confidential. We will have more to report once the reasons for judgment are publicly released.
